We're updating our days of operation at our Helensburgh branch.
Over the past five years, the Credit Union has invested heavily in digital services, as a response to changing customer behaviours and a drive towards digital service channels. Currently 99% of our customers are choosing to manage their day-to-day banking online. In fact, 99.3% of all transactions are completed using our various digital services, with less than 1% currently being performed at our three branches. The number of customers visiting our three branches has declined, but pleasingly, the number of calls has increased.
We expect this trend to continue, as each day we see more customers adopting our digital service channels, and as a society, we become more accustomed to utilising digital services in our everyday lives. This trend has influenced the future direction of our organisation. We are committed to enhancing our digital services to provide all our customers with a better banking experience.
For this reason, effective from Monday 10 January 2022, we’ll be updating our days of operation for our Helensburgh branch. Moving forward, we’ll be open on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.
These changes are focused on ensuring we’re meeting the needs of our customers by remaining open on the busiest days of operation. The changes will also enable our staff to spend two days supporting our Customer Direct team, which continued to see increased call activity from customers across Australia.
Ways to bank with us
Outside of these days of operation, we encourage all of our customers to utilise our many other service channels.
Call us on 13 22 49. Our team is also available to assist with any enquiries via our call centre, which is opened between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
You can deposit cash or cheques, plus withdraw money at participating Australian post offices. It’s safe, secure and ensures that you can bank anywhere a [email protected] is offered. You’ll just need to bring your Illawarra credit union visa debit card. Find a [email protected] outlet.
Utilise your Visa debit card to access your funds via any major bank atm free of charge. Plus, you can load your visa debit card to any of our pays solutions so you can make payments on the go. If you need to order a Visa debit card, or activate your existing card, call us on 13 22 49.
