Changes to our Account and Access Facility Conditions of Use

Illawarra Credit Union is making changes to our Account and Access Facility Conditions of Use effective 5 June 2024. A new version of this document will be available here from this date.

To help you understand the changes that may affect you, we’ve provided a summary of the key items below.

1. We are making changes to how an International Transaction Fee is charged. The current International Transaction Fee of 3% will continue to be charged on purchases or reversals made in a foreign currency using a Visa Credit or Visa Debit Card.

From 5 June 2024, the International Transaction Fee of 3% will also apply to transactions or reversals made using your Visa Credit or Visa Debit Card when the merchant or financial institution is based overseas. For example, an online retailer displays prices in Australian dollars, but is based overseas or uses an overseas financial institution to process transactions.

It's important to be aware that it may not always be apparent that the merchant or entity processing the transaction is located outside of Australia.

2. We no longer issue Corporate Cheques for Illawarra Credit Union Business Accounts. In line to previous changes we made to cheque acceptance and issuances effective 31 October 2023, we no longer issue corporate cheques for Illawarra Credit Union business acounts.
3. Overnight Domestic Telegraphic Transfers Are No Longer Available. This service is no longer available however you can continue to make transfers via online banking or our mobile banking app, Moneytree. You can also continue to make realtime payments via OSKO or PayID. You can find out more about realtime payments here.
