The program, which is a profit-sharing initiative, enables Dapto Junior Rugby League Football Club to raise funds for the local sporting organisation.

As a customer-owned organisation, Illawarra Credit Union has continued to invest in the local community throughout its 48-year history. Chief Executive Officer for Illawarra Credit Union, Anthony Perkiss, said: “Sport has always been an important part of our local community, especially for children. It teaches children the importance of keeping fit and staying healthy. Plus, with team sports, such as Rugby league, they are able to learn a number of valuable life lessons, including teamwork, resilience, leadership, respect, and perseverance.”

The President of the Club, Jason Tunbridge, echoed the comments from the Credit Union, adding “Dapto Junior Rugby League is excited to be partnering again with the Illawarra Credit Union. We have always appreciated the support they have provided us. Without this support, our Junior Canaries would not have the equipment they require to further their skills, make new friends, and enjoy the game they love.
