New partnership formed with the Illawarra Academy of Sport

Illawarra Credit Union is thrilled to announce the partnership with a local sporting organisation, Illawarra Academy of Sport (IAS).

The Illawarra Credit Union and the IAS unite with the same values and passion for continual improvement to provide the best possible outcomes to our customers. We are excited to be partnering with an organisation that reflects our strong commitment to the community.

Illawarra Credit Union and the IAS have signed a major sponsorship agreement, reinforcing the synergies and strength of the association despite the current climate and time of uncertainty.

Despite the current restrictions, the Illawarra Credit Union remains committed to assisting the local community and partnering with like-minded organisations. Throughout this time, the Credit Union has continued to support its customers and community partners, through tools such as the online Your Financial Wellness solution. The tool, which has been designed by Your Financial Wellness, allows the Credit Union’s customers to better understand their financial position and use the various tools and resources to manage their funds.

Anthony Perkiss, the CEO of the Illawarra Credit Union, commented on the partnership. “We’re committed to assisting our customers and people within our community to achieve their financial goals. Partnering with IAS will allow the Illawarra Credit Union to assist the athletes and their families, while also allowing the IAS to foster young talent.”

“As a local organisation, we have a responsibility to foster young talent and help provide pathways for a successful career. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the IAS in developing the young talent of the Illawarra,” added Anthony Perkiss, CEO.

“The synergy between the organisations is remarkable,” said CEO of the Illawarra Academy of Sport, John Armstrong “both organisations have a deep commitment to the local region, a real sense of community and a commitment to the values that encourage citizenship, leadership and trust in those around us. Each are leading the way in innovative delivery and a heightened level of service to their respective clientele.”

The Illawarra Credit Union and the IAS will launch their partnership in May 2020, with a long-term strategy to support the local community.
