As online and SMS scams become more and more sophisticated, it is a good time to check and consider updating your passwords.
These days, with many websites requiring an account to be set up, it is easy to end up using the same username/email and password combination across multiple sites. Whilst this may make things easier to remember, it can actually increase the risk of our details being compromised by cybercriminals.
Importantly, if you are using the same login and password details for your internet banking on other sites or it has been sometime since you updated your internet banking password, it is even more important to review and consider updating your password.

For Illawarra Credit Union internet banking, your password must be 8 characters or longer and contain upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters.
There are some great online publications that can provide more information on ways to build a strong password including the use of passphrases or even a password manager tool.
You can view these at Passphrases | Cyber.gov.au.
